Wrestling is Gay and EFFY is for Everyone

EFFY is important.

EEFY is one of the most important wrestlers currently-and of all time.

If you don’t know who EFFY is… I’m not sure how you found this… but to put it simply, EFFY is one of the hottest wrestlers on the independent scenes. Both literally and figuratively (EFFY is Fine). EFFY is an openly gay wrestler. He never shies away from who he really is and encourages others to do the same. He wrestles for numerous promotions and hosts EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch as a part of the Collective every year.

As you can see EFFY is very important.

When I watched my first EFFY match I said I wished I would have known about him a few years ago when I was navigating my newly discovered gayness and was confused about literally everything. The other day I was listening to EFFY on a Busted Open interview and I realized I’m still figuring stuff out. I’m out to most people in my life, and it’s fine-no one’s kicking me out or beating me up and for that I’m grateful- but I’m still pretty much alone in the journey. My family is accepting, at least least that’s what they say, but they still believe being gay is a choice and I just woke up one day and decided I wanted to be a lesbian. I know that’s not true. I know deep down that this is just who I am- I never made a decision about it. But still their words and feelings get into my head and I’ve started doubting myself and the one thing about me I know is absolutely true. I listened to that EFFY interview in the car with my family. I sat their quietly while they made comments and discusses current LGBTQ+ and transgender fights, and it took everything in me not to lose it completely. I held onto every single word he said.

EFFY is proud.

He knows who he is and he uses that to inspire others to live their truth. To be who they are and to no be afraid of that because no matter what there’s going to be someplace that will welcome them wholeheartedly. He stands up for everything he believes in and he fights so hard for gay rights and LGBTQ+ wrestlers. He’s every single thing I wish- and sometimes pretend- I could be. Online and behind closed doors, I’m loud and proud and comfortable. But I still feel like I have to hide when the attention is on me. I’ve found solace in EFFY and in his work, and I know I’m not the only one. His Wrestling is Gay brand gives LGBTQ+ fans and wrestlers a new community. Aside from all the things he does for the LGBTQ+ community and his fan base, EFFY puts on a show for everyone. He’s entertaining and fun and puts on great match after great match and I couldn’t imagine the wrestling scene without him. I think we should all strive to be EFFY when we grow up.
